Having MouseTrails on can sometimes lead to the mouse cursor not working properly in The Sims 4. If your mouse cursor isn't working correctly, you should first turn off the mouse trails in Mouse Settings. Alternatively, switch to Windowed mode to resolve the issue. Open Origin, Select Origin Application Settings Origin In Game and click the on/off switch to disable Origin In Game. Unplug mouse, then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, plug it into a different port. Try a different mouse. If those don't work, try updating drivers. Update your drivers. Try unplugging and plugging in the mouse again. Check to see if there are updates to your mouse driver. Have you tried another mouse to see if that works? Does the same thing happen in both windowed and full screen modes? Perhaps try the other mode and see if there is a difference.
I'm sending my Sim to ski/snowboard/sled. Raise your own dragon game. He's walking up to the starting point of the slope, takes his ski/snowboard out and then waves as something was in the way.
Cause
This issue has two known causes
- You placed a restaurant in Yukimatsu and this is the active lot for your Sim
- Your Sim uses an umbrella
I haven't thoroughly tested the umbrella yet but my vampires could not use the slopes if they had one on them. Epic games start.
Solution
- Switch to a different non-restaurant lot and go skiiing/sledding/snowboarding from there or remove the restaurant from Yukimatsu
- Put the umbrella back in the umbrella rack.

The Sims 4, the fourth instalment of the popular life simulation franchise, was first released in 2015. Newest family feud game. One of the game's appeals is the building aspect. Whether you want to create the blueprints for your dream home or copy the one you're living in, it's a boon for builders.
But if you're new to the game, or building isn't your thing and you're just trying to tweak something, you might wonder how to rotate objects in The Sims 4. In fact, that question as well as 'how to rotate furniture' in The Sims 4 is one of the most popular questions people ask the internet. Well, wonder no more. We've put together a quick guide on how to rotate objects in The Sims 4 to help novice builders get to grips with the game's controls.
How to rotate objects and furniture in The Sims 4
We're assuming that you know in order to rotate objects in The Sims 4, you need to be in build mode. There are some draggable objects which you can move around in live mode and the same rules will apply to them.
The game has two different camera views and how you rotate furniture in The Sims 4 might be impacted slightly depending on which camera you are using.
To see which camera view you're on, look in the top right corner of your screen and click on the camera like in the screenshot below.

Rotating furniture in The Sims 4 is easy. Just click on the object once you're in build mode and use the < key for left and > for right. This will work on both The Sims 4 camera view and The Sims 3 camera view.

It will also apply to rotating entire rooms – that is possible by selecting the whole room in the same way you select an object, but that's a tutorial for another day. You can see a brief view of how this will look with The Sims 3 camera view on below. For rooms, you can also use the little rotation arrows that appear once you select a room.

Here's where things get tricky. And we suspect this is why 'how to rotate objects in The Sims 4' is such a popular question. In The Sims 4, you can only use your mouse to rotate furniture and objects if you are using The Sims 4 camera view.
If you're using The Sims 4 camera view, you can rotate objects by selecting the object and then right-clicking with your mouse while you are holding them. Be careful, though, if you move the mouse while clicking and you have an object selected, you might end up rotating the camera view, too. You can see the camera showing rotating arrows in the screenshot below.
It won't have much on an impact on rotating objects in The Sims 4, though. Just hold the mouse still and you should be back to where you started.

If you select an object and try to rotate it using the right-click method, you'll end up just moving your view and the object around. Nothing will rotate.
This can be a source of great frustration if you have a keyboard that's not working so well – or you're playing without a keyboard completely. But if you've been wondering how to rotate objects in The Sims 4 and you keep getting stuck here, we hope this guide has helped.
